Assistant Manager / Senior Merchandiser – (Planning) - Luxury Retail
Our client is a market leading major iconic luxury footwear brand who are now actively seeking an Assistant Manager - Planning / Senior Merchandiser – Planning to join their growing team. Working Across APAC, responsible for planning for over 40+ stores
Your objectives:
Build sales projections, open-to-buy/open-to-sell and SKU plans by working closely with country and regional merchandising teams and finance teams. Managing the forecasting, ordering and model stock for Permanent business. The position is responsible for monitoring and sales and stock to maximize productivity (sell through, inventory).
Key Responsibilities
Sales Forecasts & OTB
- Build sales projections for budgets & forecasts from a business perspective for Retail and Merchandising, for discussion with HQ, Asia MD and Finance
- Develop OTB budgets based upon sales history & projections, and SKU plan
- Ensure Asia’s budgets and buy plans are executed in accordance to HQ and Asia strategies
- Post buy review to ensure that the orders align with OTB
- Prepare analysis from historical sales performance, sales trends and targeted sell through by working closely with HQs and countries, to facilitate future buys
- Create monthly sales reforecasts and sales analysis to flag risks and identify growth opportunities
- Partner with Merchandising and Retail to lay out action plans for risks and opportunities identified
- Create Sales Forecasting and Open to Sell analysis
Permanent Planning
- Manage Permanent inventory against targeted months of supply and availability rate objectives through placing rational orders and managing the pull flow receipts with Merchandising
- Reforecast Permanent sales for each RWH by style on a monthly basis
- Work closely with Merchandising to build core assortment and clustering for both stores and SKUs
- Build model stock, set safety stock parameters and input size curves for Permanent order generation
- Propose action plan to sustain sales trend and guarantee ideal stock cover (reorders/transfers/buys)
Business Reporting
- Consolidate weekly/monthly sales/stock analysis at regional level.
- Regularly work with MD team to understand best sellers/slow movers, to anticipate consolidation strategies, allocation/reallocation, and replenishment
- Analyze end of season markdowns and propose markdown strategies based on inventory and sales analysis by locations to ensure cohesive flow from one season to the next
- Analyze intended orders and determine whether the orders are coherent to the business objectives
Others
- Off season stock planning
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
- University Graduate with 3-7 years of experience in merchandising and planning across APAC, ideally working with Apparel or Footwear industries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team is essential
- Fluent English speaker
- Only Singapore PR, or already have working permit/visa
- Office location – Singapore
