Key Responsibilities\:
• Plan, schedule, and manage application releases, patches, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of changes.
• Monitor and document all release activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed release plans, mitigating risks and resolving issues promptly.
• Manage Oracle databases supporting Avaloq or similar systems including installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
• Perform regular database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and high availability through proper backup and recovery procedures.
• Implement disaster recovery solutions and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM environments.
• Conduct system performance analysis, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions.
• Optimize database queries and application configurations to improve system efficiency.
• Act as the primary point of contact for application related database and release management activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to management.
• Follow ITIL-based change management processes for database and application releases.
• Perform impact analysis for planned changes and ensure thorough pre-release testing.
• Resolve incidents related to Oracle databases in a timely manner.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track system and database performance, proactively addressing issues.
• Generate regular reports on database health, release metrics, and system uptime. Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:
• 8-12 years of experience in Avaloq release management and Oracle database administration.
• Proven track record in managing complex application releases and database optimization in a banking or financial services environment.
• Expertise in Avaloq platforms, including configurations, customizations, and release management is preferred.
• Strong Oracle DBA skills\: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and database performance tuning.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or equivalent) for task automation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for change and incident management.
