Group Finance Platform (GFP) aims to be a solid partner to the finance function and other parts of the bank that uses the various systems owned by the GFP team. Within the GFP team, Data Hub plays a key role in sourcing/curating data from different upstream product systems and ensuring all of Finance community receives proper quality assured data.
Group Finance has embarked on a multiyear project to combine/consolidate key systems that provide primary data to Finance via the One Finance Platform (OFP) program. This program consists of multiple modules and the purpose of this job position as a Senior Business Analyst is to support the Sub Ledger Module on an end-to-end basis.
The chosen candidate will be closely working with the OFP Product Owner/Middle Office Technology/Hubs within Group Finance platform to design and manage the OFP Subledger module on an ongoing basis – from product evolution to managing change on a BAU basis.
Responsibilities
- Work with hubs/Group Finance colleagues to identify user requirements for the Sub Ledger across countries.
- Work with the Middle Office Technology teams to articulate the requirements, work with them to come up with system solution.
- Participate in testing of the solutions, think through transition of the change to production, implement the change and support change into BAU transition.
- Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning and testing approach in accordance with predefined template.
- Support user community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system.
- Evaluate process-flows based on learnings from implementations and look for constant improvements across the product life cycle.
Requirements
- Business degree with Accounting/Finance major with a fundamental knowledge around banking products.
- Information Systems major with a fundamental knowledge around banking products.
- 5 to 10 years of period experience of working in the financial services industry.
- Experience in leading team implementing a change.
- Ability to work in a team consisting of stakeholders from different areas including user community from requirements gathering and testing perspective, technology teams from a development, rollout perspective.
- Eye for detail and diligence in documentation.
- SQL knowledge.
- Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.
- Well versed in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word/Office 365 applications.
- Familiar with working in the financial systems space in the DBS organizational context would be an added advantage.
