Manufacturing & Production
  • Using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software to determine material and service needs 

  • Create and maintain Purchase Orders 

  • Monitor existing open orders to ensure on -time deliveries 

  • Expedite supplier orders as to support production 

  • Analyse costs and negotiate prices for goods and services 

  • Create and update Supplier Price Lists 

  • Maintain Supplier Contact information 

  • Manage In-Transit inventory levels and receipts, especially from intercompany sources. 

  • Work with Production Scheduler to share supply changes related to PO need dates and material availability. 

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and cost concerns 

  • Communicate supply chain information to other departments and management 

  • Monitor Engineer Change (EC) closely and manage Excess and Obsolescence & slow -moving materials.  

  • Implement consignment agreements with suppliers, where necessary 

  • Build vendor base as  

  • Prepare cost analysis reports 

  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the superior. 



Requirements

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Supply Chain Management, Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent  
3-5 years working experience in a purchasing/supply chain role preferably in manufacturing environment 
MRP/ERP experience is preferred – experience with Epicor is a plus
