The Health Attendant will maintain general cleanliness of the pharmacy premise, provide assistance to the operational supervisors and provide support to the pharmacy operations in the pre-packing of medications. 

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities  

Housekeeping 

  • Clean pharmacy counters, tables, cashier counters, display shelves etc daily.
  • Perform general housekeeping activities in the pharmacy (e.g. clearing carton boxes)
  • Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of the pharmacy area and waiting area.
  • Ensure that dispensing consumables (e.g. plastic bags & spoons) are topped up at the dispensing counters daily.
  • Replenish brochures/pamphlets at the waiting area. 

 

Inventory Management  

  • Assist to receive goods delivered by vendors to ensure that they are in good condition.
  • Maintain a high and accurate standard in the pre-packing of tablets/capsules and lotions.
  • Monitor stock levels of pre-packed medications, assist in planning of pre-packing schedule and update pre-pack records.
  • Arrange & replenish stocks on the shelves & counters
  • Assist in stock counting during stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • Assist supervisor in the monitoring and ordering of consumables
  • Ensure that all stocks are kept under appropriate storage conditions and make sure that the storage areas are kept clean, neat and tidy at all times.

Automation (ROWA) (if applicable)  

  • Responsible for the repackaging and barcoding of the Assist the storekeepers to ensure proper storage medications and packing materials
  • Ensure proper segregation and demarcation of approved and unapproved/rejected items
  • Assist storekeeper in the loading of approved, repackaged drugs into ROWA.  

Automation (DDS) (if applicable)

  • Assist the storekeepers to load the correct drug into the right cartridge.

 

General

  • Clean equipment including refrigerators
  • Monitor the cleaning works of the ISS team
  • Assist in waste disposal of pharmaceuticals. 
  • Provide training for new health attendants. 
  • Involve in work place improvement projects/ activities as and when required. 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer 

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum PSLE Qualification
  • Able to converse in simple English
  • Computer literate preferred
  • Good team player, self-motivated and service-oriented

 

Working Hours
5.5 days’ work week
