Job Objective:
Supports the accurate implementation of HR policies and processes, as defined by BSM group HRS, maintains and updates all
respective records files and systems and provides accurate information to the HR Manager, in order to support decision making
and the achievement of Department’s objectives.
Supports the development and implementation of HR Strategic plans and the execution of HR operations, such as
recruitment and selection practices, employment contracts, training, performance management, in order to support
efficient operation of the SMC
Creates, maintains and updates the HR department archives and SMC personnel databases (such as medical,
insurance, annual leave schedules, certificates, job profiles etc.), contributing to the effective use of information for
accurate decision making on personnel issues of the company.
Gathers all payroll related information from SMC’s Departments (overtime, annual/emergency/ special & sick
leaves), updates the relevant database and forwards them to the relevant department for the execution of the SMC’s
payroll..
Human Resources Operations Management
Receives the incoming Curriculum Vitae and performs the first screening, so as to identify the most suitable that
meet the requirements of the job openings and forwards them to the HR Manager for further assessment, in order to
support the execution of the selection process.
Supports the development of the SMC training plan and upon approval designs, plans and organises the execution
of the approved training sessions for all company personnel. Monitors internal and external instructors, evaluates
their performance and the effectiveness of training programs, and provides recommendations for improvement, in
order to enhance the development of the adequate skills across the organisation.
Prepares and implements induction briefings for all new SMC employees supporting them in better understanding their role objectives and accountability, as well as in their prompt adaption to the working environment.
Prepares and submits all necessary documentation and formalities in accordance with local immigration authorities
and local legislation, in order to facilitate the issuance of residence permits for foreign employees
Supports the implementation of the performance management system, remains at employee’s disposal for any
relevant queries, contributing towards the accurate use of the respective system and to the accuracy of the arising
results.
Contributes in the prompt execution of employee satisfaction surveys, provides clarification and guidance for its
completion, thus enabling the extraction of accurate results.
Development of relationships
Liaises with local labour authorities, including governmental and non-governmental organisations, in order to keep
abreast of all relevant changes in local labour legislation and collective labour agreements, so as to timely inform HR
manager and enable the necessary compliance of SMC’s procedures and processes.
Supports, if required, the negotiation with employees representatives on employment issues, such as pay, in order
to support the continuous legitimate operation of the SMC, in accordance with local and global legislation
Liaises with local tourist agencies and/or local hotel managers for the qualitative and cost effective accommodation
arrangements.
Contributes to the development and follow-up of the department’s budget, monitors its accurate execution, and
proposes corrective actions wherever appropriate, in order to support the achievement of the desired business
objectives
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- BSc in Management, HR, Psychology or Sociology
Work Experience
- 3-5 years in a relevant position within a well-established large organisation
Job Specific Skills
- Good knowledge of HR processes, procedures and systems.
- Very good organisational skills.
- Familiarity with personnel issues and labour legislation
- Communication skills
- Team work and cooperation
- Proven knowledge and understanding of current Labour Law
