• J2EE application deployment and
administration including JAR, WAR, and EAR files
• Install, configure, and maintain
application servers including WebLogic Server (11g, 12c, 14c), WebSphere (7.0,
8.5, 9.x), JBoss (7.4), and Tomcat (7.x).
• Monitor and optimize server
performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement security best practices
and manage user access.
• Administer messaging solutions such
as IBM MQ (9.x) and TIBCO.
• Configure and maintain middleware
services to ensure seamless communication between applications.
• Manage web servers including Apache
(2.x) and IIS, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve web
application issues and server errors.
• Collaborate with development teams
to automate deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins and uDeploy.
• Utilize version control systems like
AccuRev for code management.
• Write and maintain scripts for
automation and system administration tasks using shell scripting or other
relevant languages.
• Use tools like Putty, WinSCP, and
Mputty for remote server management and file transfer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience with application
servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat).
• Familiarity with middleware
technologies (MQ, TIBCO) and web servers (Apache, IIS).
• Experience with CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, uDeploy) and version control systems (AccuRev).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash,
Python, etc.) for automation.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and
performance tuning.
• Relevant certifications in WebLogic,
WebSphere, or other application servers.
• Experience with cloud environments
(AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization
technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
