Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years working in Underwriting support or Operations support activities in shared services company or insurance company
  • Good communication skills both spoken and written
  • Tact to manage a diverse and regionally dispersed team
  •  Relevant experience in using Power BI
  • An understanding of insurance business from an underwriting and process perspective
  • Previous hands-on experience in having underwritten or managed underwriting support for general insurance business

Job Summary:  

This job is involved in working with outsourced service providers to manage service quality, transition support services across operational work and related technology tools, systems.

The role requires extensive collaboration with third party outsourced vendor who provide operational support services, requires expertise in managing the offshore teams, leading the training, transition of such operational support tasks.

Job Duties:

  • Work in close co-ordination with outsourced service provider to effectively transition, train and ensure accountability of their deliverables
  • Undertake outsourced resource capacity planning to ensure the set KPIs and service levels are met
  • Act as a Project manager responsible to deliver outcomes on Operations initiatives
  • Manage process efficiencies across all lines of business and transactions
  • Work with technology, distribution and policy administration team to facilitate closure of various transactions
  • Review and understand management reporting, information flow and organizational planning
  • Plan and design the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Manage dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Working with various stakeholders to transition the initiative to the new business as usual
  • Collaborate with the underwriting, operations, and finance team to improve process interaction that led to better quality data.
  • Gather data on current operations through observations, reports, and interviews.
  • Designs efficient operational processes and assist with implementation of changes.
  • Create dashboards using database application tools like Power BI
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with outsourced service provider as necessary
  • Analyse data and information to identify business opportunities
  • Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements
  • Special projects as assigned
