The Research Assistant will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator, study team members and Family Medicine Development team to ensure the successful timely completion of the research on time. The RA’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as project management, recruitment, data collection, data entry and analysis. The RA may be required to liaise with personnel from partnering institutions in the course of his/her work.

 

You will be responsible for the followings:

  • Assist PI with ethics application and amendments,
  • Patient recruitment, informed consent taking and data collection
  • Conduct focus group interviews, where required
  • Manage research data, data entry, data cleaning and ethics/legal compliance
  • Process patient reimbursement, where necessary
  • Assist PI in preparation of study related presentations/materials
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as organising regular meetings for the research team and collaborators from study sites
  • Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI
  • Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or nursing, preferably with some experience in healthcare setting
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to converse in English, Mandarin, Malay or major local dialects
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work compassionately with geriatric participants
  • Prior experience working in a research setting or with elderly will be advantageous
  • Strong administrative and project management skills
  • Willing to travel between study sites
