About Department and Purpose of the Position

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our operations team at the Allied Health & Pharmacy Office. This pivotal role involves the extraction, analysis, and visualization of data to support our AH&P clinical departments to improve patient care, operational efficiency and support management decision making.

 

He/She will also be integrally involved in the operational roles and projects to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data context, enhancing the quality of insights provided.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with Allied Health & Pharmacy’s clinical and operations teams to ascertain the data and information needed to achieve key priorities.
  • Identify available and relevant datasets, in collaboration with the relevant Management Decision Support (MDS) teams, to address the data needs of stakeholders and make strategic recommendations on such collection, integration and use.
  • Mine, clean, and organise datasets from various sources, such as the Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR), surveys, etc., ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Utilize advanced IT software functions such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau etc to develop, maintain, and refine dashboards and scorecards to support data analysis, present findings and outcomes for monitoring and reporting, and offer recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Be well versed and updated on EPIC and other operational applications in order to propose solutions that will address the needs on operational excellence.

 

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Take on operational roles and projects assigned by the Reporting Officer and/or Chief, Allied Health and Pharmacy, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data context, enhancing the quality of insights provided.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience with analytics tools e.g. SQL, Python, MS Excel (advanced), data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Proficient in extracting, cleaning, and interpreting complex data with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams and functions
  • Possess can-do attitude and able to work independently in ambiguous situations,
  • Familiarity with healthcare setting will be advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates with excellent data capabilities will be considered.
