MAIN PURPOSE
Shiseido Travel Retail is a fast-growing organization, focusing on distribution within Duty Free Zones (Airports, Downtown Stores, Air flights). It is part of the Shiseido Group, which holds more than 10 luxury and premium brands across the Perfume and Cosmetics categories (Shiseido, Cle de Peau Beauté, Nars, The Ginza Brand, Anessa, IPSA, Elixir, Drunk Elephant, Serge Lutens, and Designer Fragrances Brands).
Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will actively participate in driving Shiseido’s brand growth in the Asia Pacific Travel Retail market by supporting the team on the roll-out of all trade initiatives, as well as business monitoring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Marketing and Trade Support
Involved in the planning & execution of trade activations to support new launches & brand’s key bets – including supporting the animations, events, and digital campaigns, in accordance with brands’ guidelines:
- Support new door opening Marketing programs including planning and execution.
- Under the guidance of the team, update Marketing Calendar, maintaining brand assortment file and preparation of seasonal Marketing Books for retailer’s presentation.
- Lead the development of brand collaterals (on-counter tools, brochures, gift boxes)
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Visual Merchandising, Pricing teams) to ensure smooth roll-out of key launches both online and on-counter; as well as to identify marketing opportunities per door to maximize retailer activations.
- Provide support on Media campaigns, KOL marketing and social campaigns to drive brand growth.
- Responsible for planning and tracking of POSM usage based on trade plan and regions’ needs.
- Support the team in daily operations follow-up (e.g., stock fulfilment, quality issues, or any trade-related matter).
Forecast Deliverable, Sales Monitoring & Reporting
- Assist in alignment of launch & promotions across the APAC region.
- Support the forecasting process of Novelties, Travel Exclusives, Gift with Purchase (GWP) and samples with the right level of analysis/insights, in collaboration with Demand planning and Commercial teams.
- Track novelty launch and TREX performance. Provide insights and analysis with the aim to improve brand’s performance.
- Ensure sufficient allocations of novelties forecasts for all regions.
- Responsible for monthly business monitoring (analysis of sell-in and CP by region, brand lines and top SKUs) and reporting to Brand Team.
- Keep abreast of competitor’s activities and consumer trends in the Asia region.
Other Administrative Support
- Maintenance of master data files, product samples ordering, raising of purchase requisitions and any other administrative duties assigned from time to time.
- Production of marketing collaterals for on-counter usage.
- Support the team on monthly meetings / presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a recognized university degree, preferably in Marketing / Business.
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience and prior experience in beauty, FMCG or Travel Retail industry will have an advantage.
- A strong team player with good communication skills to facilitate cross functional discussions.
- Strong sense of details and analytical mindset.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Chinese proficiency is an added advantage.
- A self-starter who can work independently with a positive mindset, enthusiastic and collaborative.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritize in a very fast-paced environment and understand business context.
