Overview

 

You will partner the leadership and line managers to provide guidance and solutions in day-to-day people matters and in achieving the long-term goals and objectives of NUHS, Alexandra Hospital and Human Resources.

 

You will be part of the People Relations team that focuses on building a strong and positive culture, healthy work environment and high performing teams through governing and guiding the employer – employee relationships and other people related matters. This role reports to Manager, People Relations.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Build relationship with stakeholders as a trusted HR partner through professional advice on HR policies and procedures, and employment legislations
  • Support the effective, efficient and professional delivery of HR plans, programmes, processes and service through partnership with Centres of Excellence and Group Shared Services
  • Guide managers in handling a range of staff matters including performance and disciplinary matters in an objective, fair and transparent manner aligned with the Alexian culture
  • Support employees and managers in HR-related enquiries
  • Support and facilitate performance reviews, as well as engagement surveys with business leaders.
  • Navigate the execution of processes in accordance with policies, obtaining relevant approvals and opinions where required
  • Analyse issues raised with consideration of differing perspectives from various stakeholders
  • Document information, outcomes and processes, ensuring these are securely stored in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Participate in NUHS, MOM, MOH, MOHH, AH, HR projects, events, committees as and when assigned or appointed

 

Requirements

 

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent from a recognized university
  • At least 5 years in human resource function
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills to engage staff of all levels
  • Resourceful, strong initiative and self-motivated
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge of Employment Act and Labour Laws

 

Note: this is a 2-year contract role with possibility of conversion
