Job Description 
SIM-RMIT is looking for associates who are dedicated, highly-motivated and possess a strong passion for teaching and shaping the minds of the young generation. Candidates will be expected to deliver the course content in a 3-hour lecture format on a weekly basis, and manage assessment marking within a given deadline. They will work closely with the course coordinator based in the partner university to achieve the desired students’ outcome.

Appointed lecturers will receive ample opportunities to attend program-specific training in teaching pedagogy, individual domain areas and educational technology, as well as cross-disciplinary and customised professional development activities.

Module: AERO2490 Airline Operations 
This module covers the operational aspects of starting and operating an airline. Students will be taught the various types if airline route structures as well as the airline as a product, focusing on the product design and alliance strategies. Fleet planning will also be investigates based on the airline network strategy. The course will look at the importance of fuel and airline operations and the economic impact it has while giving special consideration to fuel conservation. These knowledge will be used collectively to understand the air fare structures and its distribution and yield management and their importance for airline operations.

Key areas of study:
•    Recognise the economic aspects of airline operations, including airline financing
•    Map the airline passenger fleet planning process
•    Apply knowledge of key principles to airline passenger flight scheduling
•    Utilise airline passenger market research and forecasting
•    Analyse airline passenger products
•    Map the airline air fare structures and distinguish revenue management systems
•    Reconcile competing expectations of airline passenger aircraft fuel consumption and fuel conservation strategies

Classes are mostly conducted during weekday evening from 7.00pm to 10.00pm.

Teaching information:
1) To teach the 6 required sessions of 3-hour lectures
2) To set, coach and mark assessments

Job Requirement:

- A Ph.D or Master's Degree in related discipline from a reputable university

- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred

- 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage
