ResponsibilitiesOversee construction projects from beginning to endDetermine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower neededPrepare reports regarding job statusEnsure compliance with safety regulations and building codesEvaluate risksTrain and mentor construction workers and construction laborers depending on the size of the projectCollaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project teamObtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sitesPlan construction operationsEnsure all deadlines are metHire contractors and staff including construction workerAllocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projectsKeep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularlyHandle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a projectConduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standardsRequirementsCandidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Architecture or equivalent.Certificate of Construction Safety Course for Project ManagerAt least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Required Skill(s): MS OFFICE, communication skills, interpersonal abilities, negotiation skillsPreferably Manager specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projectsExcellent knowledge of construction materials and equipmentHighly organizedPrevious experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skillsPrevious work experience in construction management or another similar roleUnderstanding of construction management processesAble to plan aheadFamiliar with construction and project management software programsExcellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resourcesConflict resolution and conflict management experienceExcellent time management abilityAble to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
