DescriptionThe Global Employee Relations Organization will help set and implement a global vision, strategy and operating model to better understand and respond to employee needs and concerns; and as well deliver exceptional employee experience. This includes partnership with the business, function, and HR leaders on an in-depth review of feedback, conduct and employee experience aspects of regulatory-related deliverables.
The Employee Relations (ER) team offers a standardized handling of cases for managers, employees and the HR community in the Asia Pacific region. This team will be responsible for ensuring consistent practices for employee relations case escalation, case investigation, case resolution and documentation using a central system of record.
As a member of the APAC ER team, you will work in close partnership with HR Business Partners/Advisors to deliver exceptional advice and counsel to business leaders and HR colleagues regarding employee conduct issues and risk management across a number of subjects.
Job Responsibilities
- ER Case Management and Advisory
- Manage ER matters in APAC locations, including handling of workplace grievances, conducting workplace investigations and determining appropriate disciplinary action
- provide sound and relevant ER advice to stakeholders across the region in line with JPMC policy and procedure, local legislation and regulatory requirements
- Ad-hoc ER Enabling Projects
- participate in or drive enabling projects for the APAC ER team
- participate in various risk and control initiatives
- create a trusted and valued experience for internal clients/partners resulting in enhanced employee experience & greater stakeholder satisfaction
- drive EECC strategy with stakeholders and partners
- other ad-hoc work as needed
- Partner & Clients
- Your key clients will include individual employees, HR Business Partners/Advisors and Business Managers; your partners will include HR, Legal, Compliance, Global Security Investigations and Audit.
Required qualifications, capabilities and Skills
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience within Human Resources, Employee Relations, HR Regulatory Affairs or Employment Law is essential
- Knowledge of Employee Relations policies, practices and philosophy is required
- Possess a risk and control mindset able to follow published protocols for conducting investigations
- Ability to apply technical knowledge and business acumen to a fact pattern to determine an appropriate solution
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and trends with an ability to absorb detailed information quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills including emotional intelligence with an ability to respond appropriately to sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Ability to apply a consistent and appropriate level of review when decisioning cases with appropriate escalation as required
- Ability to work in a global, matrixed, and complex business
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively influence across all levels and roles in the firm with demonstrated success in partnering with multiple stakeholders across competing priorities
- Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in Excel, Business Objects and Qlikview or equivalent preferred with a desire to utilize data and analytics to provide insights and for decision making and process improvements
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Law, Human Resource Management or equivalent Human Resource or Management experience
- Experienced HR Professionals who are fluent in Chinese will be strongly preferred as the role will include working with clients in China.
