Position Overview
Environmental Education Interns at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center provide environmental and conservation education through a diverse range of engaging learning experiences aligned with the Education Departments purpose of facilitating individuals discovering their role and responsibilities in the natural world. Interns will gain experience in:
Additionally, interns are trained on conducting Guided Tours that explore the Gosdin Scenic Drive and Jim Jackson Intensive Management Area as well as providing husbandry for Fossil Rims ambassador animal collection.

Qualifications
Experience working with children, the public, or in an educational setting is required. Undergraduate degree in biology, environmental science, education, or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be able to work in all weather conditions, and be willing to work an atypical schedule (including nights and weekends). Applicants must possess a valid drivers license.
International applicants must have a J1 or B1 visa before arrival. Fossil Rim cannot sponsor or assist with the visa process.
Benefits
If selected, candidate must have a TB test conducted within 30 days prior to arrival for internship.
