The Finance Manager is the key business
partner for both Singapore Managing Director and the Regional office to drive
medium and long-term profitability, track performance and liaise with other
departments to ensure business growth. He/she will take charge of the
management and statutory reporting of the Singapore entities (IMCD Singapore
Pte Ltd and IMCD Asia Pte Ltd).
Key Responsibilities
Financial
Accounting & Compliance
- Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis
- Review closing schedules prepared by senior accountants
- Work closely with HR on personnel costs, such as payroll review and bonus provision
- Prepare quarterly management report
- Manage the annual tax filing (ECI, CIT) with tax consultants and ensure compliance with GST and withholding tax
- Handle the transfer pricing documentation with the support of Group Taxation and external consultants
Manage the annual statutory audit and any internal or tax audits - Review internal processes and work with relevant functions on internal controls
- Coordinate with the corporate secretary for annual filing, directors’ resolutions and any related matters
- Manage and review company insurance coverage
Performance
Management & Controlling
- Assess the business profitability, cost variance, KPIs deficiencies, and overall performance and identify opportunities to optimise profitability.
- Working capital optimisation including stocks and debtors key metrices
- Prepare the budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term plan processes for both entities and present it to Management
- Cashflow management for both Singapore entities
- Business
Partnering and CollaborationsPartner with operations and supply chain on day-to-day and warehouse related matters
- Partner with sales team to advice on budgets, margins, pipelines
- Address queries from Group (Corporate Control, Group Tax, Group Treasury)
- Conduct training or briefing sessions to guide the Singapore team when necessary (eg. incoterms, landed costs, tax codes, LOA, etc.)
Merger
activities
- Lead and support integration with acquired company
- Onboarding to IMCD’s ERP system (JDE) with account mapping, align treasury related matters, coordinate training and system access related matters
- Plan and ensure a smooth merger in various areas such as customer/supplier accounts, banks, JDE migration and external compliance matters
Team
Management
- Lead and manage 2 senior accountants
- Mentor, coach and provide guidance to the team
Others
- Delegated One Identity representative to manage access for all Singapore employees
- Lead relevant system or process implementations
Preferred
Profile
- University Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or advanced degree
- Minimum 6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Excellent understanding of local regulations and financial updates
- Project management ability: used to coordinate actions between different departments involved
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and lead internal trainings
- Ability to work independently, think strategically, demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to work on cross functional teams in an effective manner
- Appetite to new learning opportunities and versatility to take on new tasks
- Positive, ‘can do’ hands on attitude
- Experienced in financial planning, budget forecast, reporting, strong analytical skill set
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Open to learn and adopt digital tools
