Description

The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and sustainability of workplace facilities. The role encompasses the following,

  • Management of renovation projects, maintenance operations, and safety measures, while also driving EHS compliance and improvements.
  • Effective leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of workplace safety and environmental practices. 


Responsibilities

Facilities Responsibilities 

  • Lead and project management of renovation fit out work – ensuring compliance to requirements and prevailing regulations 
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces 
  • Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed 
  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors 
  • Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals 
  • Maintain daytoday operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders 
  • Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff 
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions 
  • Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
  • Maintenance of pantry supplies, face masks, ART test kits 
  • Maintenance of BCP call tree
  • Act as Safety Management Officer and ensure alignment to prevailing Safety Management Measures

EHS Responsibilities 

  • Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with Singapore statutory regulation 
  • Responsible to work with various stakeholders on all safety aspects of work operations from planning, execution to acceptance 
  • Lead and conduct incident investigations as well as CAPA reporting, includes closing of CAPA with affected department 
  • Responsible for setting 3 yearly and annual plans and targets and measuring performance against EHS KPI 
  • Responsible for setting up, and ensuring proficiency of site wide Emergency Response Team, Emergency Response Plan and high standards of safety within the site 
  • Responsible for ensuring stakeholders of site, established robust risk assessment and control plan for all operating processes 
  • Responsible for driving implementation, maintenance control and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 
  • Drive for EHS improvement initiatives within the site 
  • Contributor to BCP planning and execution
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications
  • Degree / Master in Engineering or Science or Building Management or Diploma in engineering related disciplines with relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading big scale renovation / fit out program; with at least 5 years of working experience in the capacity of facilities management 
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the capacity of EHS management
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a positive attitude and an open mindset to embrace a teamoriented working environment 
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety Management System will be advantageous 
  • Certification in Workplace Safety & Health Management System will be advantageous
