Off-Cycle Trading Intern - Financial Engineering and Equity Research
We are seeking a driven and skilled intern to join our team, supporting the Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM) with financial engineering, equity research, and coding tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic trading environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models using Excel to support trading strategies and portfolio management.
- Write and automate code using Python to streamline data analysis and reporting processes.
- Generate daily reports and track relevant financial news to provide insights and updates to the SPM and trading desk.
- Conduct thorough equity research, including market analysis, company valuation, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Masterβs Program in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, with practical experience in financial analysis.
- CFA Level 1 or working towards it is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Fluency in writing and automating code using Python.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct detailed equity research and market analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- Experience with Bloomberg terminals and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of statistical packages like Pandas, Scipy, Eviews.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
