The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Fellow will join the team to develop insect-computer hybrid robots operation strategies:
Design control/navigation algorithms and operation strategies for insect-computer hybrid robots
Integrate the algorithms to customized sensor-backpack controllers and test them with living insects
Coordinate the research team to test, optimize, and execute the operation strategies designed
Technical write up and presentation
Job Requirements:
PhD Degree in Mechatronics/ Robotics/ Electrical and Electronics/ Computer Engineering/ Biological Engineering
More than 2 years of experience in C/C++ programming for embedded system
Experience in insect anatomy and physiology is advantageous
Experience in control system design is advantageous
Comfortable in handling living insects
Experience in C#, Java, JavaScript, Python is advantageous
A team player and technically motivated to solve problems.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
