Senior/Lecturer (Electrical /Building Services) /School of Engineering

[What you will be working on]

  • The primary role in teaching & learning:
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical/laboratory sessions for both full-time and part-time students.Ā 
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and resources to align with industry standards and academic best practices.Ā 
  • Design and implement assessment strategies (exams, quizzes, assignments, projects) to evaluate student performance and provide feedback.Ā 
  • Supervise student internships, projects, field trips, and overseas study programs.Ā 
  • Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and academic institutions on projects to advance electrical engineering in building applications.

[What we are looking for]

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a Mechanical & Electrical consultancy firm with a focus on building systems, including expertise in areas such as electrical power systems, lighting design, building automation, energy efficiency, and electrical safety.
  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles as applied to building services, including electrical distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, renewable energy integration, and energy efficiency.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and regulations governing electrical systems in the built environment.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, etc.) and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of current trends in green building, smart building technologies, automation, and energy management systems. Certification of PE Electrical or Certified Sustainability Professionals such as GMAP, LEED, WELL, EDGE, and GRI will be an added advantage.
  • Possess interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication ability to share knowledge and interact with the youth; passionate about electrical engineering, sustainability, and shaping the future of building systems.
