JOB SUMMARY

  • Manages execution of brand marketing programs and initiatives for all Luxury Brands in APEC
  • Support respective continent brand teams to align consumer-facing messaging and drive brand reputation
  • Partners with the respective continent and/or regional/area marketing teams to localize the expression of the brands with full funnel efforts, not limited to PR, advertising, communications, etc. in the respective markets across APEC
  • Manage the work with loyalty marketing team to associate our award-winning Brands and drive affiliation to Marriott Bonvoy.
  • Manage relevant programs to grow and activate our key source markets.
  • Manages the assignments and projects with the Performance and Digital teams to deliver efficient and effective media plans, including the brands’ social media strategy.
  • Work with area marketing teams to develop effective continent and country/market level marketing programs that continuously drive brand awareness, preference, market share and topline performance.


 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 
Education, Experience & Requirements 

  • University degree required.  Master’s degree in related field preferred but not essential.
  • Five or more years of managerial experience. 
  • Languages: Proficiency in English required; proficiency in reading and writing in other Asian languages strongly preferred.
  • Lodging industry experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Prior brand management and marketing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing the work related to agencies and vendors. Prior experience in advertising agency or media company is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.


 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 
Brand Strategy & Planning

  • Work with Director, Luxury Brand Marketing, APEC to support the Area Directors of Marketing and key HALO hotels and new openings to create their overall business plans.
  • Understands clearly the brand strategy, positioning, voice, strategic pillars and competitive environment.
  • Support the work related to strategic Brand partnerships through criteria rating to deliver desired outcomes.

Brand Performance & Development

  • Execute global brand marketing strategies while ensuring alignment to APEC or country/market specific objectives.
  • Is responsible for the effective pull-through and localization of new brand marketing or partnerships initiatives in the APEC region.
  • Develops compelling presentations to ensure owner community and other key stakeholders are well informed with brand marketing updates.
  • Constantly monitors brand performance and align appropriate actions with the relevant cross function teams to achieve the brand and continent objectives.

Operations & Culture

  • Is responsible to partner with Brand Management Leaders for regular brand marketing communication with the field and hotels.
  • Provides openings and/or conversions support for new hotels, particularly HALO properties and coordinates with openings and regional teams to ensure all elements of the ‘marketing efforts’ are executed on brand.

Marketing & PR 

  • Is responsible for executing effective brand marketing programs that achieve/surpass brand and continent performance goals.
  • Is responsible for executing customer-facing brand communications, not limited to brand-voice copywriting, use of the various assets and materials to ensure an on-brand communication style.
  • Partners with the APEC PR/Communications team and the area/field marketing teams to develop and execute buzz for the brands in APEC
  • Ensure brand partnership activities provide brand equity benefits and enhance the guest experience.

Integrated Marketing Planning and Strategic Execution

  • Manage and support the continent destination marketing strategy.
  • Focused on key source markets, leisure destinations and KPIs. 
  • Engages agencies, as required, in project to deliver the creative design and execution process to bring a program to market.
  • Ensures consumer messaging is clear.
  • Is responsible for ensuring the outcomes of a project are aligned to the vision of the key stakeholders
  • Reviews program performance in real time and modifies program as directed.
  • Monitor competitive activity in the category.

Promotions/ Partnerships

  • Manage the work related to Revenue Strategy, develops and executes promotions/offers that drive KPIs for the continent or market (e.g., Enrollment goals, direct channel goals, driving leisure revenue, etc.).
  • Partner with analytics team to ensure proper tracking and communication of all programs.
