Missing of the role:
This role will be involved in leading and managing a sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives. This role requires developing and implementing strategic sales plans to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue. The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and analyzing sales data to identify areas for growth and improvement.
Additionally, they collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to develop integrated sales strategies.
Key accountabilities
Sales Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies by building robust relationships with key verticals offering tailored solutions tackling specific industry needs to meet revenue targets and expand our customer base in the conventional power sector.
Revenue Growth and Profitability
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales revenue, conversion rates, pipeline growth, and customer acquisition costs by collaborating with the sales operations manager enabled with the CRM system to have a quick overview of the performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis when KPIs deviate from expectations to identify the underlying factors which could involve assessing specific sales activities, market conditions, or changes in customer behavior to foster continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients by developing and implementing strategic plans, identify and pursue opportunities for account expansions, retaining existing clients & minimizing churn to contribute to long-term success and business growth.
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, aligning our solutions with their goals.
Team Leadership
- Foster the professional growth of team member by providing training, coaching and mentorship to promote the culture of learning, collaboration, achievement, and success.
- Set clear and challenging sales goals/targets for the team and manage performance against these objectives to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with HR to define job requirements, participate in interviews, and facilitate a smooth onboarding process to integrate new hires into the team.
Business Development
- Develop strategies to generate leads and expand the customer base. Acquire new clients and customers to expand the customer base. Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with departments such as marketing, Technical and finance to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience and 8 to 10 years experience in a sales management role in the conventional power systems industry.
- Previous experience in technical sales, especially in the power generation industry, can be highly advantageous

- Proven experience in managing business within specific industry vertically and leading a sales team.
- Strong understanding and experience in using data analytics and business intelligence for decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluent in English.
