Senior/Scientist (AI) /School of Informatics & IT

 [What you will be working on]

• Strong interest in applied research and development.
• Willingness to participate in research projects in one or more of the following technology areas – Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Immersive Media, etc.
• Work independently or with other researchers, developers and students to fulfil project deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand user requirements and devise possible solutions.
• Supervise students for their final year projects.
• Perform lecturing and tutoring duties for courses related to research areas.
• Conceptualise, prepare and submit research proposals to secure grants from TP and national funding schemes (e.g. MOE-TIF and NRF).
• Oversee awarded industry and funded projects and ensure key milestones and project deliverables are met.

[What we are looking for]

• Qualifications in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Preferably at least 2 – 4 years of relevant industry and/or research experience in at least one of the following areas – Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Immersive Media, etc.
• Possess experience in working in technical project teams.
• Experience with Python, C/C++, Java or any other relevant programming language.
• Possess working experience in conceptualizing and submitting research proposals (e.g. to secure research grants), and presentation of research concepts.
• Analytical and meticulous individual who is able to think strategically to align with TP and national agenda in technical research.
• People-oriented individual who possesses strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
