Job Overview

To assist in the day to day food production and supervise Cooks and Casuals. Execute production for all items needed in the day to day Hotel operation Ensure that systems are in place and followed while maintaining a high degree of associate satisfaction by adhering to all Marriott Standards and Policies and Singapore Marriott Hotel standards of excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assure that all food prepared will be in accordance with Marriott standards and quality. Complete production charts for daily preparation with Sous Chef.
  2. Assist Sous Chef in assigning, co-ordinating and supervising all phase of food production.
  3. Prepare all food according to recipe cards and follow the standard for food cleanliness and safety.
  4. Instruction has to be followed, in order to reach a standard of excellence in every outlet.
  5. To work in a safe manner at all times, to eliminate accidents.
  6. To enforce our policy, “Clean As you go”.
  7. Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment in work area.
  8. Daily check and cleaning of walking fridge.
  9. Daily covering, rotating and dating of all food items.
  10. Co-operation and team work at all times.
  11. Perform all other reasonable tasks as requested by Management.
  12. Will sign acceptance of tools – uniforms and knives etc. and will pay back to the company any money for loss or damage of said tools.
  13. If any employee is sick, he will immediately contact his immediate supervisor or Executive Chef and will collect a sick note before returning to work.
  14. We only accept standard of excellence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of experience in similar capacity
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multi tasked and committed to the quality of food served
  • Excellent working attitude and willing to constantly grow his/her skills
